BRLSI: demolished 1932

The BRLSI Institution and Bath's public Library since 1824 reached the end of it's life in 1932. In a quest to build 'Grand Parade' behind the Bath Abbey next to the river, required it's demolition. Public opinion was divided on the issue. Many wanted the building preserved or even moved. But in 1932 the demolition began and over the following months this historic building, with a Portico designed by the famous architect: William Wilkins (1778-1839) was reduced to rubble.
But what would it have looked like had it remained? The designs and most of the plans had been pulped in the 1940's. This once great Bath building was gone. But perhaps a Virtual reconstruction could rebuild it. I undertook, with the documents at BRLSI to do just that.
